Phlox paniculata, commonly known as garden phlox, is native from New York to Iowa south to Georgia, Mississippi, and Arkansas. It has escaped gardens and naturalized into areas beyond its original native range.

Texas Pink Garden Phlox has large rounded clusters of lightly fragrant purplish-pink flowers produced atop sturdy purplish-red stems. Their showing begins in early summer, lasting for several weeks and possibly longer if they are deadheaded. Texas Pink Phlox is a mildew-resistant free flowering selection of our native Phlox paniculata. Provide an entire, primarily sunny site with well-drained soil for the best results. The flowers attract butterflies and more giant bees.

Periodic deadheading will help keep them looking clean and extend the flowering season. Provide good air circulation in moderately rich soil with average moisture in full sun for the best results with Garden or Summer Phlox.
