Katie's Dwarf Ruellia

$6.50
Ruellia brittoniana 'Katie.'

The Dwarf Mexican Petunia, also known as the Katie Blue, is a compact and cheerful perennial that will brighten up any garden! With its deep bluish-purple trumpet-shaped flowers and glossy dark green foliage, this plant adds a pop of color from spring to frost. It's perfect for borders, ground covers, and container gardens.

One of the best things about the Dwarf Mexican Petunia is its flower power. These reliable perennials bloom for an extended period, making them a great replacement for old-fashioned border plants like Monkey Grass and Liriope. They can even remain evergreen in mild winter climates and flower throughout the year.

In areas with colder winters, they may die back to the ground, but they can be paired with winter-growing bulbs like Spanish Bluebells for a continuous display of color in the garden. And if they get too tall or leggy, simply cut them back to a few inches above the ground and they will quickly regrow and continue to flower.

Dwarf Mexican Petunias are drought-resistant and can grow in well-drained and moist areas. They are also shade-tolerant, but they will flower best in sunny areas. So why not add a little bit of happiness to your garden with these cheerful Dwarf Mexican Petunias.
