Conoclinium greggii
Conoclinium greggii, called Gregg’s blue mistflower, and Texas ageratum, is a spreading ground cover native to Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and northern Mexico. It typically grows to 12-18” tall and spreads to 24” wide. Ageratum-like powder blue flowers bloom from summer to fall. Flowers are misty, hence the common name—divided light green leaves. Flowers are beautiful to butterflies. Synonymous with and sometimes called Eupatorium greggii.
Grow in medium moisture, well-drained loams in full sun to part shade. This plant is winter hardy to USDA Zone 7.
